Our management principles are based on the impact of our management on our stakeholders such as staff, customers, local community, suppliers, environment and society in general.
We strive to ensure that our activities and their management are aimed at achieving a working environment based on trust and mutual respect, where we work to prevent and control any type of undesirable occurrence and continuously adapt to the applicable regulations.
We ensure that quality is at the forefront of our customers’ minds, and that their complaints or suggestions are dealt with appropriately.
In addition, we surround ourselves with suppliers who practice the same philosophies as we do and who are willing to commit to technological improvements.

Equality Plan
During the year 2020, we have implemented the Equality Plan 2020 – 2024, with which we aim to achieve equal treatment and opportunities between women and men and to eliminate all types of discrimination based on sex.
Integration and equal opportunity
At Cotoblau we implement policies that ensure respect for labour rights and fair labour relations, such as non-discrimination of any kind and integration and equal opportunities. Our entire team has an equality policy that aims to give them security and confidence.
Waste management
Our environmental policy includes the main objectives such as the reduction of waste generation, the use of clean energy and the conservation of existing resources. In 2020, we highlighted the acquisition of a wastewater treatment plant that directly disposes of the waste generated by the compressor at our facilities. We are a CO2 emission-free company and all electrical energy consumed comes from renewable sources.
Circular and sustainable economy
We have turned into reality projects that use recycled bottles in our materials, thus reducing the virgin material of our products and becoming the first manufacturer in the world to manufacture a 100% recyclable and 100% waterproof terry towelling mattress protector made with rPET recycled materials called Kamasana Ecopur. In collaboration with PrimLab Global SL, we have developed an active ingredient with natural nano and micro particles called CO2pure that helps to eliminate CO2 and NOx.
Zero waste
We dedicate great efforts to “zero waste” both electrical and raw materials by installing motion sensors and instilling this culture throughout the organisation. In addition, electronic invoicing was implemented, significantly reducing the amount of paper.

Environment
100% green energy
We are concerned about caring for our environment. Therefore, we are fully committed to renewable energies and our goal is to make all the energy consumed green.
With our electricity, we consume clean energy from 100% renewable sources. We have the Guarantees of Origin provided by the National Commission for Markets and Competition (CNMC).
The certification that the origin of the energy is 100% renewable is documented in the Guarantees of Origin, an instrument issued by the CNMC that certifies that a given amount of electricity, measured in MWh, has been obtained from renewable sources, in a given period.

Social and solidarity campaigns
Year after year, we are committed to promoting solidarity campaigns by renewing our commitment to activities that help economic development and improve the quality of life of society in general.
Donations of medical equipment
Donation of medical devices to hospitals and associations such as Hospital d’Ontinyent, Hospital de Xativa, Odontología Solitaria, AFAO, ADMAVA, etc.
Actions to boost the national and local textile sector
Collaboration with the association ATEVAL (Association of Textile Companies of the Valencian Community). We are part of the National Textile Cluster of Innovation and Sustainability located in Ontinyent.
Kamasana with sport
Our brand is always committed to sport and local sportsmen and sportswomen. That is why year after year we make donations to different clubs, such as the Albaida Football Club, Albaida Athletics Club or Albaida Basketball Club. We are also the official sponsor of the Ontinyent Football Club.
Collaboration with organisations and NGOs
We are proud to actively collaborate with different associations, among which we highlight the Multiplica por la Infancia Programme of UNICEF, with AFAO (Associació de Familiars, Amics i Amigues de Malalts i Malaltes d’Alzheimer i altres demències d’Ontinyent) through the collection of plastic caps and with the Alzheimer’s Association of Albaida (Valencia). We also participate in charity markets in the region of Vall d’Albaida (Valencia) and we collaborate with the San José Teresianas School in textile garments for reuse and help for the needy.
